Furniture Appoints Investment Banker Bob Marshall to Board
Chattanooga, TN, November 24, 2004 – Smart
Furniture, Inc., a Chattanooga-based innovative web-based provider
of patented organizational, workspace and display solutions, announced
today that it has appointed Bob Marshall to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Marshall, the vice president of Investment Banking for Livingston
Company, will join Smart Furniture's existing board members Stephen
Culp, Don Mundie, Grady Vanderhoofven and T.J. Gentle.

Furniture.
"Bob's impressive operational experience and expertise in marketing

Mr. Marshall said, "Stephen and his team have developed a powerful
concept with significant opportunities in both the consumer and
business-to-business markets. I look forward to working with the

Smart Furniture brand."
Mr. Marshall is vice president for Investment Banking for Livingston
Company. Prior to joining Livingston, he served at Chattem, Inc.
from 1994 to 2002 and was most recently vice president of marketing.
In this role he had income statement and marketing responsibility
for Chattem's portfolio of 18 brands with retail sales of almost
$300 million and was involved in all acquisition and divestiture
decisions of the company.
Mr. Marshall started his career with The Procter & Gamble Company
where he held a variety of positions in finance, accounting, and
marketing. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
with a major in Finance from the University of Tennessee in 1986
and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992.
