uMonitor Unveils Wireless Account
Aggregation Technology At Bankers' Conference
GERMANTOWN, TN (September 11, 2000) - uMonitor, a start-up
company that provides users a convenient, time-saving tool to collect,
personalize, monitor and manage personal information via the Internet,
unveiled today their new wireless application during a banking industry
conference in Washington D. C. The conference, entitled Account Aggregation
2000, is sponsored by the American Banker Association and Thomson
Financial Media and brings together more than 150 CEOs, CIOs and marketing
directors from financial institutions and industry participants across
the country.
"We're excited about this new application of our technology,"
said Dinesh Sheth, President and CEO of uMonitor, Inc. "The wireless
capabilities that we presented today keep us at the forefront of this
emerging industry. We're the first company to offer this service on
mobile phones, pagers and Palm devices. uMonitor Mobile brings thousands
of sites to wireless users without any work or changes required of
those sites to be wireless compatible. We also have over 4,000 site
interfaces for account aggregation on the Internet. This is more than
our top two competitors combined."
Sheth said that the conference was a perfect opportunity to unveil
"uMonitor Mobile" since financial institutions are prime
candidates for uMonitor service with mobile applications. The company
has already signed an agreement with a nationwide wireless messaging
leader to provide the account monitoring service to their customers.
uMonitor is also seeking partners in the telecommunications field,
portal sector and Internet service providers' market.
The Washington D.C. conference is the first of many trade shows uMonitor
plans to attend according to Sheth. "There are some great shows
coming up this fall where we intend to have a presence," said
Sheth. "I anticipate this being a huge growth period for us since
we support such a large number of sites and are wireless ready today,
not tomorrow. Combining that with the simplicity of our service and
the flexibility of the program and our company, I feel confident that
we will have millions of users by the end of 2002."
An innovator in the personal account management field, uMonitor, Inc.
was founded in February of 1999. The company is focused on delivering
tools that allow individuals and businesses to manage their personal
and work environments in a simpler, more productive manner. More information
