uMonitor Inc. Forms Partnership
with Atlas Brokerage Company L. P. to Provide Account Aggregation
Services to Registered Representatives
GERMANTOWN, TN (November 20, 2000) -- Atlas Brokerage
Company, L. P. and uMonitor, Inc. announced today that they
have signed an agreement forming a partnership to offer an information
aggregation service that provides users a convenient, time-saving
tool to collect, personalize, monitor and manage personal information
via the Internet and wireless devices.
“This partnership will enable Atlas to become one of the first
Broker/Dealers in the country to offer information aggregation services
to their Registered Representatives,” said Mike McCormick, President,
Atlas Brokerage Company, L.P. Commenting on their selection
of uMonitor, Inc. as a partner, he added “uMonitor has
the best service by far. They offer the ultimate flexibility to our
users and their robust technology is interactive and fully integrated
with wireless devices. No other company could offer us that
flexibility.”
“We know that this technology will give Atlas Brokerage Company
a competitive edge and an opportunity to offer services to their Representatives
and their Strategic Partners that will simplify their lives while
keeping them abreast of the latest changes in their financial portfolios
via Internet or wireless devices,” said Dinesh Sheth, President
and CEO, uMonitor, Inc.
Atlas Brokerage Company expects to offer the service to their Representatives
and Strategic Partners by the end of 2000. “Atlas Representatives
will be able to review and advise their clients regarding their bank,
insurance and brokerage accounts, just to name a few possibilities.
But, the major benefit of the uMonitor, Inc. service is that it enables
the end user total access to their life management tools, not just
investment tracking and enhances our ability to service our Representatives
as well as our clients,” added Brian Fisher, Operations Supervisor,
Atlas Brokerage.
uMonitor, Inc. is first to launch an information aggregation
service on mobile phones, pagers and PDA devices. “uMonitor
Mobile,” as this application is called, brings information from
thousands of sites to wireless users without waiting for those
sites to be wireless compatible. The company already has over 4,400
site interfaces on the Internet. That is more than the top two
competitors combined.
A recent Celent Communications Report (October 2000) refers to uMonitor,
Inc.’s wireless capabilities as “the most prominent feature”
of this new solution. The report further concludes that “less
than half of the information aggregators provide an in-house solution.”
uMonitor, Inc. is one of the providers that do deploy an in-house
wireless solution without using a third party.
uMonitor, Inc. technology allows users to view and perform transactions
on all of their accounts in one location. This revolutionary technology
is a rapidly changing the way people use the Internet.
uMonitor, Inc., headquartered in Germantown, TN, was founded
by Dinesh Sheth after he began using the Internet to monitor
his own accounts. As online transactions became prevalent, he saw
a need for combining many functions at one location. uMonitor, Inc.
provides technology to other channel partners in the financial services,
wireless industry, portal sector and Internet service providers’
market.
