"Connecting for Health" Collaborative will provide the CDC, FDA, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) their first nationwide, real-time information-sharing infrastructure.

Connecting for Health Conference, Washington, DC - June 5, 2003 - Metatomix, Inc., Inc., the global provider of real-time integration and visibility technology, today announced its participation in the Connecting for Health Collaborative to drive the sharing of clinical information while adhering to proper privacy and security safeguards.

Together with IBM and ESRI, the Metatomix, Inc. Surveillance Monitoring and Real-Time Events™ (SMARTE) for public health solution will provide the comprehensive interface to critical information that has been integrated from a myriad of healthcare providers. This system will deliver immediate information exchange between those providers and those in need of that information to provide improved patient care, in real-time.
