Appraisal Forum has changed its name to Valocity

Memphis, TN, April 19, 2004 – In an effort to more accurately define its value to the appraisal and mortgage industry, Appraisal Forum, a national valuation solutions provider, has changed its name to Valocity. The new name better reflects the strategic business goals and objectives the company foresees for its continued success.

“As Valocity continues to grow and become more widely recognized, we believe that the new brand better represents our commitment to providing efficient and focused solutions to the users and providers of valuation services,” said Shawn McGowan, president of Valocity. “Our corporate culture centers around improving the value proposition for both appraisers and lenders through mutually beneficial business services and processes. The name Valocity, which represents value and speed, better portrays our vision to become the premier valuation solutions provider, nationwide.”

Since its founding in 1998, the company has experienced significant growth year after year and expects further expansion. The company’s focused recruitment campaign has propelled it to the point where Valocity will have redundant resources in every MSA in all 50 states by the second quarter of 2004. In addition to traditional valuation products and services, the company has now added automated valuation models (AVMs) to its expanding product line.

Co-founder and COO of Valocity, Bethany Kaaz, said, “The company was founded on the premise that there was a great need for more efficiencies in the appraisal process. Our focus has not changed; we are still working to improve and simplify the challenges that face appraisers as well as lenders. When we founded the company six years ago, we never imagined we would experience such growth so quickly. We are excited to be taking the company to the next level and look forward to new opportunities.”

Valocity credits its rapid expansion and growth to the superior service and solutions it provides to lenders and appraisers. The company facilitates the relationship between the two to better meet the needs of both parties. Instant Access®, Valocity’s flagship platform, provides users with a highly flexible and truly paperless system for processing valuations, enabling a faster turnaround time and creating workflow efficiencies throughout the process. The Web-based appraisal and data storage system is a communication portal, which offers users an efficient means of ordering, tracking, receiving and storing residential property information and valuation reports.
