Mike Smith, Jr. joined Delta Capital in August of 2006.  Prior to Delta, Mike managed MS Partners, LLC, a business consulting and advisory firm he founded in 2004 in Little Rock, AR. MS Partners advised privately owned, middle market and venture-stage growth companies on merger and acquisition, private placement, and other advisory services.


Mike was previously a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Finance Group of Stephens Inc where he completed over 50 merger and acquisition, public offering, and private placement transactions for privately owned and publicly traded, middle market companies over his 13 years there. He also sourced and executed principal investments for the Stephens family.

He is actively involved in venture capital and entrepreneurial development in the region, speaking on venture capital and early stage business development topics and sitting on several private Company and non-profit Boards. Mike has a degree in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
