Joel Wood joined Delta Capital in 2002 to identify and evaluate investment opportunities. Joel maintains an active position in eight portfolio companies, serving each as a Board member or an advisor.

Prior to joining Delta, Joel was a Vice President in the Medical Technologies investment banking group of Dain Rauscher Wessels (now RBC Capital Markets), concentrating on health care information technology and medical device companies.

During his investment banking career, Joel advised numerous companies on financing and strategic initiatives including private equity, public financings and M&A transactions. Before joining Dain, Joel was a Vice President with Stephens Inc., where he focused on technology and health care companies. Joel was also with the investment banking group of Morgan Keegan and Company, Inc., as a generalist.

Joel began his career in finance with the U.S. corporate group of Wachovia Bank, working on large corporate credit transactions. He received a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree with High Honor from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
